ECEG welcomes Eleonora Isopo as new Acting Director General

ECEG is pleased to announce the appointment of Eleonora Isopo as its new Acting Director General, effective from 1st January 2025. Her appointment follows the departure of the previous Director General, Emma Argutyan, and it marks an exciting new chapter in the association's ongoing commitment to representing the chemical employers’ interests before the European institutions.


Eleonora Isopo has been working in the ECEG for already 6 years, developing a strong expertise in EU employment and social affairs policies, as well as on Sectoral Social Dialogue for the chemical industry. She holds a master’s degree in international relations & European affairs and a bachelor in international relations & diplomatic sciences from the University of Bologna (Italy).


In a statement, Ms Isopo shared, “I am honored to take on the role of Acting Director General of ECEG in these challenging yet rewarding times for the European chemical industry. I look forward to working closely with our members, partners, and stakeholders to further our mission and expand the impact of our work.


ECEG would also like to extend its deepest gratitude to Ms Emma Argutyan for her dedicated leadership and service over the past 10 years.


We are confident that Eleonora’s leadership will contribute to the continued success and growth of the association.
