Brussels, 27 February 2017 – European social partners industriAll European Trade Union and the European Chemical Employers’ Group (ECEG), together with VinylPlus, the voluntary sustainable development programme of the European PVC industry, have signed a cooperation agreement on the European PVC Industry.
In 2015 the scope of representativeness of the social partners was enlarged, and included henceforth the pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industries. Thus, social partners together with VinylPlus have agreed to intensify their cooperation.
The newly signed cooperation agreement on the European PVC Industry defines areas and subjects of joint activities of all three parties within this intensified cooperation for the period of 2017-2020 (3 years).

Says Emma Argutyan, ECEG Director General: “As recognised social partners on the EU level representing, among others, plastic industry, cooperation with Vinylplus is of an outmost importance. The mutual goal of securing health and safety at the workplace as well as protecting environment by focusing on recycling facilities – are part of the main cooperation points envisaged by us. Our goal is to deliver on all above mentioned areas with a transparent and open annual evaluation of our cooperation at the social partners' plenary meeting."
