Based in Brussels, ECEG is located where decisions on EU-level are made. Our aim is to create and maintain a sustainable and internationally competitive environment for European industry since ECEG promotes the role of the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industries in Europe.

As a consultative body of the European Institutions and a recognised social partner, ECEG connects EU institutions’ officials and our social partner, IndustriAll Europe with our members in their respective countries.

We observe the EU legislative process, communicate industry needs directly to influential stakeholders and inform our members on important developments and their potential implications on national level. Furthermore, we promote best practices, discuss shared challenges, defend our members’ interests and aim at coordinating policies in the area of social affairs and industrial relations.

In detail, we cover the following topics:

  • Competitiveness, industrial policy and employment
  • Health & safety
  • Training, education & lifelong learning
